Abuja is gearing up for a major cultural showdown as the Magnus Oku Books & Arts Fiesta 2025 holds this Thursday, 27 November, at the Cyprian Ekwensi Arts & Culture Centre.
The event, themed Celebrate • Educate • Empower, will feature the unveiling of five new books, spoken word performances, art exhibitions and the prestigious Lifetime Legacy Awards.
Senator Ibrahim Shekarau, CON, will chair the fiesta, while Hon. Ayodele Olawande, Minister of Youth Development, delivers the keynote.

Top icons billed for recognition include Prof. Wole Soyinka, Gen. Martin Luther Agwai (Rtd.), Gov. Victor Attah, Hannatu Musawa, Panam Percy Paul, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim and other national figures.
Chairman of the Organising Committee, Kennedy Musa Tifato, described the fiesta as “a movement to celebrate creativity and empower young African minds.”
The public is invited to join what promises to be one of Africa’s biggest literary and cultural gatherings.
