Renowned procurement expert and robotics advocate, Engr. Abubakar Rahmat Salihu, was conferred with an Honorary Doctorate degree by Highstone Global University, USA, at the Africa Intercontinental Conference and Global Awards held on December 6th at Transcorp Hilton Abuja.
The prestigious honor recognizes Engr. Dr. Abubakar’s outstanding contributions to robotics education, procurement excellence, and youth empowerment. A careful review of his profile by Highstone Global University and Africa Intercontinental Network led to his selection amongst esteemed nominees for this distinction.
His impressive academic pedigree, including a B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering, MSc in Procurement Logistics, and Executive Diploma in Advanced Research, coupled with his impactful work in promoting STEM education and robotics in Nigeria, made him an ideal recipient.
Engr. Dr. Abubakar, Head of Agric and Water Resources at BPP, has championed robotics initiatives, leading Nigerian teams to international competitions and fostering future career opportunities for youths.
Speaking at the ceremony, he dedicated the honor to youth and mentees that he has trained in robotics,reaffirming his commitment to driving innovation and progress.
