Traditional rulers in Abia State have commended Governor Alex Otti for the increment in their monthly stipend from a paltry N50,000 to at least N250,000.
The payment will begin this month.
They also lauded the Governor for approving a special Christmas package of N150, 000 to each of them to support their Christmas celebration.
A release made available to Sunday Sun by the Chairman, Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers, Eze Linus Nto Mbah, commended the Governor’s friendly disposition toward the traditional rulers, describing it as unprecedented.
The monarch noted that no previous governors had honoured the traditional institution like Otti.
Eze Mbah reassured the Governor of traditional rulers’ support for his administration.
