Following Federal Government’s initiative of reducing transport fares on dedicated routes across the country, ABC Transport Plc, Nigeria’s foremost road transport company, has disclosed that it commenced immediate implementation of the discount as directed.
Passengers traveling on the various dedicated routes have been walking into ABC Transport terminals and paying only 50 percent of the applicable fares to embark on their journeys
A statement from the company confirmed that the immediate implementation of the 50 percent discount also applies to passengers using the ABC Travel App which can be downloaded from the Google Play store.
Customers who have the app on their phones can book a trip, pay and get the 50 percent discount from the comfort of their homes.
The press release also said that travellers who had booked their tickets on the relevant routes prior to the announcement of the fare slash, are refunded the difference at the point of travel.
The ABC Transport management commended the Federal Government for the initiative, which it notes will lessen the burden on travellers this festive period.
ABC Transport is a diversified road transport operator that has been in the industry for over 30 years, covering passenger, logistics and haulage.
