Akwa Ibom state Police command has said it has concluded training of officers to strengthen criminal justice system and rule of law
A statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state DSP Timfon John and made available to Journalists in Uyo stated that the two days training was aimed at strengthening criminal justice system and promote the rule law .
The statement reads in parts:
“The training which held from October 30th to 31st, 2025, took place at the Alkali Baba Conference Hall, Police Headquarters, Ikot Akpanabia, Uyo was facilitated under the Rule of Law and Empowerment Initiative, also known as Partners West Africa Nigeria (PWAN)”.
John said the Commissioner of Police, Akwa Ibom State Command, CP Baba Mohammed Azare in his remarks at workshop commended West Africa Nigeria for their strategic synergy and collaboration with the Command.
John stated that the initiative remains a critical component in strengthening the overall security architecture of the state by ensuring that police operations are firmly grounded in the principles of the rule of law.

She disclosed that the CP further urged all participants at the workshop to take the training seriously adding that they should count themselves as fortunate to be part of the crucial exercise.
” The CP charged them to absorb the insights from the training to enhance their professional conduct and service delivery to the people of Akwa Ibom State.
She said representative of Partners West Africa Nigeria, Ms. Aisha Abubakar, expressed her profound gratitude to CP Baba Mohammed Azare for the opportunity to extend the intellectual session to officers of the Command.
“During her presentation, Ms. Abubakar stressed that the initiative is designed to refresh and remind officers about the rule of law.
“When you listen to a survivor’s story, you are holding their hope for justice in your hand.”
