The Federal Capital Territory (FCT), police command said it has commenced investigation into the alleged sale of the COVID-19 exemption tags to persons who are not included on the exemption list of the Federal Government.

This is just as the command said the exemption tags which are only issued by the police and the FCTA Security Service Department were part of measures adopted to check the flagrant violation of the presidential lockdown order, to contain the spread of COVID-19, by some residents.

FCT Commissioner of Police Bala Ciroma made this known in a statement signed by the command’s public relations officer Anjuguri Manzah.
