Thembi Portia Shilenge, the founder and CEO of Crypto Dimensions, has been honored as one of Africa’s leading young executives at the Africa’s Under 40 CEOs Awards & Summit, a prestigious event organized by the Mayorkings Agency Group.
Shilenge, who transitioned from a career in chemical engineering to the world of cryptocurrency in 2017, was recognized for her pioneering efforts in democratizing blockchain education across Africa. Her company, Crypto Dimensions, has trained thousands—particularly from underserved communities—equipping them with the tools to thrive in digital finance.
“This award is not just for me,” Shilenge said at the event. “It’s for every young person who has ever doubted their power, and every girl who’s been told to shrink. I say grow.”
Under her leadership, Crypto Dimensions has helped produce over 100 self-made millionaires, while also launching philanthropic initiatives such as Fems in Tech and large-scale sanitary pad donations to rural schools.
The Africa’s Under 40 CEOs Awards celebrates young leaders redefining business, innovation, and impact. Shilenge’s inclusion in this elite network reflects her growing influence in both the crypto space and the larger financial empowerment movement sweeping the continent.
