The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), in collaboration with Oke-Eze Increase Nigeria Limited, has commenced a five-day ICT foundation digital skills training for 50 youths in Benin City, Edo State.
The training, which began yesterday and will run till July 17, is aimed at equipping young Nigerians with foundational digital competencies to enhance their employability and participation in the growing digital economy.
Participants will be trained on core ICT areas, including computer fundamentals, Microsoft Office applications, Internet research, digital communication, cybersecurity basics and introduction to data management. The programme combines classroom sessions with practical exercises to ensure beneficiaries gain hands-on experience.
The organisers urged the participants to take full advantage of the training to build careers and support digital transformation in Edo State and beyond.
Beneficiaries expressed appreciation to NCDMB and it’s partner for the opportunity, stating that the skills would help them to start businesses, secure jobs and remain competitive in today’s job market.
The collaboration reflects ongoing efforts to empower Nigerian youths with relevant skills for national development and self-reliance.
