The Imo State Police Command has rolled out surveillance drones to boost intelligence gathering and track criminal elements across the state, the Commissioner of Police has announced.

CP Garba Bosso said the deployment is part of ongoing operations to identify and monitor suspects in collaboration with vigilantes under the Imo State Security Organization, ISSO.

According to the Command, the drone was donated by a public-spirited resident of Ihiagwa Community in Owerri West Local Government Area. Police described the donation as an example of the impact of community partnership on security.

“The surveillance drone will strengthen our intelligence gathering and support ongoing operations across Imo State,” CP Bosso stated. “There will be no hiding place for criminals in Imo State.”

The Police said the aerial surveillance will complement ground operations by ISSO vigilantes as security agencies intensify efforts to curb crime in the state.
