Ademola Lookman has reportedly told Serie A club, Atalanta that he wants to embark on a new adventure in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Lookman is the subject of interest from Arsenal. The Gunners are scouring the market for a versatile attacker in the summer transfer window and have set their sights on the Atalanta forward.
The Nigerian international has told the Serie A club that he wants to embark on a new adventure, and intermediaries have offered him to Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.
Lookman has finally established a stable foothold at the club level since joining Atalanta from RB Leipzig in August 2022. The London-born winger has come leaps and bounds in the last three years despite a few off-field issues, particularly in the 2024/25 campaign.
The 27-year-old enjoyed an excellent 2024/25 season, contributing to 27 goals in 40 outings in all competitions by finding the back of the net 20 times and providing seven assists. Meanwhile, Lookman’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known clubs, including Arsenal.
Meanwhile, intermediaries have offered the player’s services to Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.
The Nigerian international has been on Arsenal’s radar for a long time. The continued interest is understandable, considering they are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit in the summer transfer window by signing a productive and versatile attacker. So, Lookman fits the bill as he can play across the frontline and score goals for fun.
The Serie A outfit will not stand in the London-born forward’s way after agreeing to sign Kamaldeen Sulemana from Southampton.
