Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State have declared that the party remains united and unshaken, dismissing any notion of internal division while reaffirming their unalloyed support for Governor Abdullahi A. Sule and the state party chairman, Hon. Aliyu Bello.
This was the highlight of the resolutions reached at the State Executive Committee meeting of the APC held on Monday, June 30, 2025, in Lafia, where party stakeholders unanimously passed a vote of confidence in both leaders.
According to the communiqué issued at the end of the meeting, members lauded Governor Sule’s leadership qualities and developmental strides, describing his governance as purposeful and people-centred.
“We hereby unanimously pass a vote of confidence in His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, for his visionary leadership, steadfastness, and commitment to the development of Nasarawa State,” the resolution stated.
The committee equally commended the performance of Hon. Dr. Aliyu Bello, expressing full support for his continued leadership of the party and endorsing him to represent the Nasarawa APC at the forthcoming National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting scheduled for Thursday, July 24, 2025.
“We affirm our unwavering confidence in the State Chairman, Hon. Dr. Aliyu Bello, and endorse him as our representative at the NEC meeting,” the statement added.
In a show of solidarity, the committee emphasised the party’s internal cohesion and warned against the emergence of parallel party structures, which they described as unacceptable and contrary to the spirit of unity.
“We condemn in totality any attempt by individuals or groups to create parallel party organs in the state. Such actions are not only anti-party but also a direct affront to the legitimate structure of the APC in Nasarawa,” the communiqué read.
The party urged security agencies to investigate and take decisive action against those behind such destabilising efforts aimed at sowing discord within the party.
Meanwhile, the committee expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his reform-oriented policies and developmental drive since assuming office. It also acknowledged Governor Sule’s achievements in infrastructure and other sectors, which they said have brought renewed hope to the people of the state.
The resolutions concluded with a call for continued unity among party members and a reaffirmation of the APC’s dominance in Nasarawa’s political space.
