The 27-year-old Stanley Omah Didia gained notice with his debut EP “Get Layd” in 2020. Known for his unique blend of Afrobeats, R&B, and soul, he has quickly become a significant figure in the music industry.

He first pitched his innovative concept to an unidentified musician with the intention that they work together. Instead, the musician dropped an album with the exact sound Omah Lay had in mind for his album.

He had to remake his album after that experience, especially the song “Holy Ghost,” which is now a staple of his new sound. “I was going to make the whole album with this new sound,” he declared. “But when I saw what happened, I decided to change my direction and start over.”

Despite the setback, Omah Lay is confident in his work and believes his album will significantly contribute to Afrobeats. “I had to go back and remake my album,” he said, anticipating it to be extraordinary.
