Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy, has disclosed that his name was not mentioned in the petition his twin brother Peter wrote but in the statement he issued after the petition.
According to him, Peter (Mr P) went to the EFCC when after he told him (Paul) that Jude, the then manager and director of now-defunct P-Square, made some money during the time they were not together.
Rudeboy stated that he told Peter to either forgo and move on, or they all should gather the money they made while they were separated together and share it with the P-Square’s income-sharing formula in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
He disclosed this during an Instagram live on Monday, August 19.
Paul said: “If you open the petition Peter wrote, my name is not there. I was mentioned in the statement he wrote to back the petition.
“Peter said he met me one time and told me about diversion, Yes, he met me after we came back together. He told me that do I know Jude made some money while we were separated and I said ‘I know, just like we both made money.
“I told him ‘We were all receiving, but now it doesn’t make sense, we are back, let’s not go back, let’s focus’.
“He told me ‘na we be the artist’. I reminded him, ‘Have you forgotten we have an MOU that stated that everything about P-Square is Peter, Paul and Jude?’. But he insisted ‘MOU doesn’t count, na we be the artist’. I said ‘But the document is there, we cannot.’
“Then I told him, the best way to balance this thing is ‘if Jude made some money let him bring it, both of us would also bring ours so that we’ll use the MOU to share’, he didn’t want to.
“Since he didn’t want to I left it that way, and now we’re in the EFCC.”
