A total of 594 delegates will choose the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate on Thursday.
The 576 delegates were elected from the 192 wards by the three-man ad hoc ward delegates congresses, as well as 18 delegates drawn from the 18 local government areas.
The party had earlier cleared cleared 10 aspirants, including the Edo State deputy governor, Philip Shaibu, Asue Ighodalo, and Anselm Ojezua to participate in the gubernatorial primary.
Others are Felix Akhabue, Martin Uhomoibhi, Umoru Hadizat, Osaro Onaiwu, Arthur Esene, Omoregie Ihama and Omosede Igbinedion.
Nine of the aspirants, with the exemption of Ighodalo, had kicked against the ward congresses, alleging foul play.
However, the PDP, in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, yesterday, said the National Working Committee (NWC) had also approved the delegates’ list for the exercise.
