• Calls for thorough investigation into killings

The TY Buratai Humanity Care Foundation has condemned the attacks and killings by terrorists in communities in Plateau State on the eve of Christmas celebrations, and called for thorough investigation into the incident.

A statement on Wednesday by the Chairman of the Foundation, Ibrahim Dahiru Danfulani, it expressed deep concern and condemnation over the Christmas Eve attacks on communities in Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi Local Government Areas of Plateau State.

He said such acts of violence was not only cowardly but also went against the spirit of unity and coexistence in that region.

“The foundation extended its deepest condolences to the affected families and communities, as well as to the government and people of Plateau State.

“The loss of lives and the destruction of property during these attacks were described as disheartening by the Grand Patron of the Foundation, His Excellency Amb Lt.Gen Tukur Yusufu Buratai (retd).

“The TY Buratai Humanity Care Foundation, which is known for its humanitarian efforts and commitment to promoting peace and unity, stands in solidarity with the affected communities and pledges its support in any way possible to help them recover from this tragedy.

“The Foundation also call on the relevant authorities to investigate these attacks thoroughly and bring the perpetrators to justice. There is the need for security agencies to step up their efforts in ensuring the safety and protection of lives and property in the region.

As the news of these attacks spread across the nation, it is crucial for all stakeholders to come together and work towards lasting peace in Plateau State and other parts of the country.
