Nigeria’s International Super Eagles football player Wilfred Ndidi has backed fantasy platform FanBants which becomes the first-ever African start-up to be selected by Techstars.
Unlike other fantasy platforms, where people are limited to a competition, on FanBants, Ndidi believes users can play fantasy contests across the English Premier League Champions league.
According to him, they can also play with the Africa Cup of Nations, and World Cup contests on FanBants.
“FanBants is creating more excitement for African fans by creating fantasy gaming experiences across sports and entertainme.
“This is a landmark of innovation and the program focuses on startups at the intersection of tech, sports, and entertainment,”Ndidi said.
Similarly ina related development, In a statement by Techstars, the Minnesota Twins Accelerator said that they remain the first of its kind in Minnesota Sports.
The statement also quoted Chris Iles, Senior Director of Brand Experience and Innovation for Minnesota Twins, saying that he envisioned a good future for what FanBants can become.
He also said same about the other nine startups of the world that were selected into this program would bring to the future of sports and entertainment.
