Seven people lost their lives yesterday, while one person was injured when a motorcycle, a tricycle, and a commercial intra-city bus, collided in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.
The accident occurred around 9:30am, opposite the Women and Children Development Initiative Foundation (WOCDIF), around the Osogbo-Ilobu bypass.
The Public Enlightenment Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Agnes Ogungbemi, who confirmed the incident, said a commercial intra city bus with registration number MAZDA ES300; a tricycle with registration number RLG 898 QE; and a motorcycle with registration number SGB 630 DN, were involved in the accident.
The FRSC said the accident was caused by a tyre bust, speed violation, and loss of control.
A female child was reportedly injured in the accident while four male adults; two male children and one female child died.
