1. Seychelles – Electronic Travel Authorisation from about $12
Nigerians need a simple Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) before departure. Standard processing costs around $13.
Once approved, a free Visitor’s Permit is issued on arrival for an initial stay of up to three months.
A potential traveller can apply online via the official Seychelles Electronic Border System. Proof of accommodation, return ticket and sufficient funds are required.
2. Vietnam – e-Visa from $25
The official single-entry e-visa costs $25 and is valid for up to 90 days. A multiple-entry option is $50. Processing usually takes a few working days through the Vietnamese immigration portal.
Nigerian applicants can use the e-visa system; print the approval and present it on arrival. Passport validity of at least six months is essential.
3. Cambodia – Visa on arrival or e-visa for $30
A 30-day tourist visa costs a flat $30 whether obtained as an e-visa online in advance or on arrival at major airports and land borders.
Cash in clean US dollars is preferred for the VOA option. Extensions are possible. This remains one of the most straightforward and affordable Southeast Asian entries for Nigerians.
4. Uganda – Ordinary/tourist e-visa for $50
The standard single-entry e-visa runs about $50, plus a small processing surcharge. It allows a stay of up to 90 days.
Application can be made via the official Uganda Electronic Visa/Permit portal. An East African Tourist Visa covering Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda is available for $100 if you plan multi-country travel.
5. Ethiopia – Tourist e-visa from about $52–$62
A single-entry 30-day tourist e-visa typically costs $52–$62 depending on the exact category and any updates.
Application can be made online at the official Ethiopian Immigration and Citizenship Service portal; processing is normally three business days. Yellow fever vaccination proof is often required for travellers from Nigeria.
6. Tanzania – e-Visa around $50
The standard tourist e-visa for Nigerian passport holders is approximately $50 for a single entry, although the exact figure can vary slightly by duration.
Apply through the official Tanzania Immigration portal before travel. Zanzibar and mainland options are covered under the same system in most cases.
7. Turkey – e-Visa around $50 (when eligible)
Nigerians can often obtain a single-entry e-visa online for roughly $50 if they meet the conditions (in some cases requiring a valid Schengen, US, UK or Ireland visa/residence permit).
Otherwise, a sticker visa via the embassy or VFS is required and costs more. When the e-visa route is open, it is one of the more affordable Middle Eastern options. Apply only through the official evisa.gov.tr portal.
