Three people have reportedly died in an accident that occurred in Ikirun, Ifelodun local government of Osun State.
Findings showed that the accident occurred around 8:30 pm, Monday, along the Ikirun-Osogbo expressway.
The spokesperson of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Kehinde Adeleke, confirmed the incident, describing it as ‘fatal.’
She explained that the accident involved a Lexus 350 car with the Registration number Lagos SMK 17 JK and an unregistered trailer.
She said, “The accident claimed three lives on the spot. It was as a result of reckless driving and over-speeding of the driver of the said trailer who took to his heel immediately after the incident.”
Adeleke explained that the victims had been taken to the morgue.
