The Chairman of the Swimming Section of Ikoyi Club 1938, Mr. Akinbulejo Onabolu, has confirmed that all is set for the first leg of the Quomodo Inter-School Swimming League, scheduled for May 9, 2026.
Speaking ahead of the event, Onabolu expressed confidence in the preparations and assured participants of an exciting and memorable competition. The event marks the second edition of the series and will be held at the Ikoyi Club in Lagos.
“We have been working tirelessly to deliver a well-organised and engaging competition,” he said. “As we approach May 9, I am confident that all participants will have a rewarding and enjoyable experience.
“I also commend our sponsors, Quomodo, for their trust and support. Together, we are building a platform to nurture the next generation of swimming champions in Nigeria.”
The competition will feature all major swimming strokes, Freestyle, Breaststroke, Backstroke, Butterfly, and Individual Medley, with distances tailored to different age categories, ensuring fair and competitive racing for all participants.
Following the first leg, attention will shift to the second leg of the league, scheduled for June 6, 2026, at the same venue.
The Inter-School Swimming League is structured across three categories: Primary, Junior Secondary, and Senior Secondary levels, providing a broad platform for young swimmers to compete and showcase their talents.
The event is expected to deliver a vibrant and competitive atmosphere across all categories.
