The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that about two million candidates successfully registered for the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), even as window of registration ended on Monday.
The information was contained in JAMB’s weekly bulletin released in Abuja, on Monday.
It recalled that the window of registration for the 2024 UTME opened on Monday,15th
January, 2024, and ran till Monday, 26th February, 2024.
The Board also noted that 747 Computer Based Test (CBT) centres were initially approved for the registration exercise, but five centres were later delisted and one suspended for engaging in conduct deemed to be detrimental to the integrity of the exercise.
JAMB further disclosed that 260,249 candidates have successfully indicated interest to participate in the Mock-UTME, which is scheduled to hold on Thursday, 7th March, 2024.
The Board asked the candidates to proceed to print their mock notification slips from Tuesday, 27th February, 2024. “The notification slip indicates the candidate’s registration number, the venue, time and date of the mock examination and other necessary instructions.
“It is imperative for candidates to be aware of these vital pieces of information which are necessary for their participation in the examination. The optional mock notification slip can be printed from anywhere that candidates find convenient provided they have internet access,” it said.
