The Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, Minister of State for Education, Dr. Yusuf Tanko Sununu, and Vice-Chancellor of Alkalam University, Katsina, have described the Emir of Yauri Emirate, Dr. Muhammad Zayyanu Abdullahi, as an epitome of simplicity and humility.
They stated this during a public lecture organised at Yauri town to celebrate the Silver jubilee of the 42nd Emir of Yauri.
Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, represented by his personal Chief of Staff, Sanusi Garba Rikiji, noted: “Twenty-five years down the line, he has recorded remarkable achievements and transformed the lives of the downtrodden, and indeed, humanity in the areas of security, education, economy, banking, finance, communication, trade, commerce, electrification, roads, rural infrastructure, agriculture and culture, among other areas in Yauri Emirate and Kebbi State.
“Through political reformation, he successfully brought the people closer to the leadership because he makes wide consultations before taking decisions on critical issues.”
In his remark, the Minister of State for Education, Dr. Sununu, noted that the Emir has united all the stakeholders at the Emirate, describing the development as the backbones for the progress of the Emirate.
In his lecture, entitled: ‘Sarki Zayyanu: Chronicles in the Life of a Prince, a Scholar, and a Philosopher-King’, Vice -Chancellor of Alkalam University, Katsina State, Prof. Nasir Musa Yauri, noted: “The core of his philosophy is ‘Yauri First’. He loves his people and he is committed to their welfare. For the sake of Yauri, he can leave his palace and traverse the length and breath of Nigeria. Whenever there is a problem, he goes out looking for solutions.
“Whether that problem is the lack of basic infrastructure like electricity, water and roads or insecurity, he does not have a political party. His political party is Yauri Emirate and whoever loves Yauri and its people. At both the local and international levels, he is a friend to those who love Yauri and its people.”
