Cristiano Ronaldo and FIFA president Gianni Infantino shared a brief exchange about the Portugal captain’s pursuit of 1,000 career goals during the closing ceremony of the 2026 Esports World Cup in Paris.
Infantino approached Ronaldo at the event and asked, “How are you? Good?”
“Good. 23 (goals) more, right?” Infantino replied.
“Yes,” Ronaldo answered.
Infantino then encouraged the veteran forward, saying, “Good luck. Come on, come on.”
“Thank you,” Ronaldo responded.
The exchange highlighted Ronaldo’s pursuit of the landmark 1,000-goal mark, with the FIFA president acknowledging that the forward is 23 goals away from reaching the target.
