Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the November 8, 2025 governorship election in Anambra State, Nicholas Ukachukwu, has said that members of the party in the state would do everything within their powers to ensure President Bola Tinubu wins the state during next year’s presidential poll.

Ukachukwu, who disclosed the position of the party faithful at a stakeholders’ meeting of the party in Awka, the state capital, revealed that necessary actions were being taken to ensure that Tinubu wins the state.

“We have endorsed him before. We are reaffirming what we said in the larger stakeholders’ meeting. We have no choice. That’s what has to be done. And then, we have to work hard to make sure we deliver”, he said.

“Yes, it’s not going to be easy, but it’s doable. Considering the last feat we achieved, even when the sitting governor was claiming to be part of us, you saw what we achieved. I think we can do far better this time, to make sure that he wins.”

Ukachukwu revealed that the party members were prepared to slug it out with other political parties in the state and ensure that the president performs better than he did in 2023.

“It’s no longer the issue of 25 per cent because it’s a settled matter. So, it’s about winning and winning well. And we are going to work hard to get it done,” Ukachukwu assured.
