Stakeholders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, yesterday gathered in Oshodi/Isolo area of Lagos State to affirm their support for President Bola Tinubu for the 2027 general elections.
The gathering, described as a validation of Tinubu’s sole candidacy of the APC, attracted party faithful, political groups and community leaders who pledged continued support for the president’s second-term ambition.
Speaking during the event, the leader of the Renewed Hope Ambassador for Oshodi/Isolo Local Government Area, Olukayode Tinubu, said the movement was created to sensitize Nigerians on the achievements of the Tinubu administration and mobilise support for his re-election.
According to him, the Renewed Hope Ambassadors is a national initiative aimed at sustaining the president’s Renewed Hope Agenda beyond 2027.
“We have gathered here with politicians and APC members to choose Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as the candidate of the party for the 2027 election,” he said.
He noted that party members across the local government were prepared to mobilize massively for the president’s return.
He acknowledged that Nigerians were passing through economic challenges but insisted that they were temporary as the administration’s reforms would eventually yield positive results.
“We need to keep talking to people about the temporary pains of the Renewed Hope Agenda and the future gains it will bring to Nigerians,” he said.
He highlighted some of the administration’s achievements to include the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), road infrastructure projects and the ongoing reforms in the oil sector.
“We all know what the NELFUND project is doing for students. Many children can now afford higher education without being burdened by tuition fees,” he added.

He also expressed hope that fuel prices would eventually crash as local refineries become fully operational.
On insecurity, he said the president inherited existing security challenges but had taken bold steps to address them.
“He is building a security architecture that can combat terrorism. Very soon, Nigerians will begin to see the results,” he stated.
Also speaking, the member representing Oshodi/Isolo Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Stephen Ogundipe, popularly known as Omojomolo, said the administration’s policies were already yielding positive outcomes.
Ogundipe, who is also Chairman of the House Committee on Information, Strategy and Security, said the president had consistently assured Nigerians that the reforms would come with temporary hardship before the long-term benefits.
“Nigerians have started seeing those benefits. Students in higher institutions no longer suffer as much because of the support mechanisms put in place by the government,” he said.
He added that improvements were gradually being recorded in the economy and health sector.
“We are here to affirm him, thank him and assure him that Oshodi/Isolo Constituency I stands solidly behind him,” Ogundipe stated.
Leader of the APC in Oshodi, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, also commended the turnout at the event, describing it as proof that many Nigerians still believed in the president.
“We are optimistic that the 2027 election will favour the president because people came out in large numbers to support him,” he said.
Hel alleged that there were attempts to frustrate the mobilisation campaign but noted that security agencies provided support for the programme.
“We have given the president our assurance and we stand by our words. We are ready to support him until his ambition is achieved,” he added.
Similarly, Dr. Kalejaiye Banjoko, founder of Oshodi Interest Group, said the large turnout reflected the readiness of supporters to work for the president’s re-election in 2027.
“We are witnessing the turnout of our members to affirm the candidature of Asiwaju for a second term, and hopefully he will win in 2027,” he said.
