Veteran actor Jide Kosoko, Nollywood stars Toyin Abraham, Eniola Badmus and Bimbo Akintola, and Fuji musicians Pasuma, Obesere and Adewale Ayuba have been named to the All Progressives Congress (APC) Lagos State Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 elections.
The entertainment personalities are part of the party’s Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate, according to the campaign council’s membership list released by the Kadri Obafemi Hamzat Media Centre on Thursday.
The council is scheduled for inauguration on Friday, September 18, at the APC Secretariat on ACME Road, Ikeja.
Toke Benson-Awoyinka is listed as Director of the directorate, while Kosoko will serve as Co-Director and Eniola Badmus as Deputy Director. Akeem Alimi, popularly known as Ajala Jalingo, is listed as Secretary, with Dare Olateju as Assistant Secretary.
Other members from the Yoruba film industry include veteran actor Adebayo Salami, popularly known as Oga Bello, Saheed Balogun, Bukky Wright, Fathia Balogun, Yinka Quadri and Tayo Sobola.
The Fuji music industry also has a strong presence in the directorate, with Pasuma, Obesere, Ayuba, Sulaimon Alao Adekunle, popularly known as Malaika, Akorede Babatunde Okunola, known as Osupa, and Temitope Adekunle, popularly known as Small Doctor, listed as members.
The Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate is one of several units under the Lagos APC campaign council, which lists Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as Chairman and Kadri Obafemi Hamzat as Deputy Chairman.
The appointments come as political parties intensify preparations for the 2027 elections, with the Independent National Electoral Commission having fixed September 9, 2026, for the commencement of election campaigns.
The Lagos APC campaign council is expected to begin its formal activities with Friday’s inauguration, bringing its various directorates and campaign structures into operation ahead of the 2027 electoral cycle.
