Nigerian singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has submitted several entries for consideration in multiple categories at the 2027 Grammy Awards.
The submissions include his sixth studio album, Oriade, and songs such as B4 B4, Nakupenda and Le Show, according to music awards platform The Grammy Guru.
The platform disclosed the entries in a post on its X account, listing the categories in which the singer’s album and collaborations have been submitted for consideration.
Davido’s album, Oriade, was submitted in four categories: Album of the Year, Best Global Music Album, Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical, and Best Album Cover.
His song B4 B4, featuring Mayorkun and FOLA, was entered for consideration in Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best African Music Performance.
Another collaboration, Nakupenda, featuring TxC, Zlatan, Shoday, Scotts Maphuma and Al Xapo, was submitted in the Song of the Year and Best African Music Performance categories.
Davido’s Le Show, featuring Ayra Starr and French Montana, was also entered for Best African Music Performance.
Meanwhile, I Know Who I Be, a collaboration with JAZZWRLD and GL_Ceejay, was submitted for Best Music Video.
The entries come as the Recording Academy begins its first-round voting for the 2027 Grammy Awards, scheduled to run from October 12 to October 22.
Nominees for the 69th edition of the awards are expected to be announced on November 16, while the ceremony is scheduled for February 7, 2027.
Davido previously received Grammy nominations at the 66th edition of the awards in 2024. His album Timeless was nominated for Best Global Music Album, while Unavailable and Feel received nominations in other categories.
The latest submissions mark another attempt by the Nigerian singer to secure recognition across several categories at the international music awards.
However, submission for consideration does not guarantee a nomination, as the final nominees will be determined through the Recording Academy’s voting process.
