Although the Year 2027 is yet another year for a major political decision in Nigeria, the year 2026 has the likelihood to prove more defining with certain major events in the year having the propensity to be more crucial in shaping the outcome of the nation’s next presidential election.
For President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the pathway to another four years in office appears bumpier from the crystal ball as he will have to a scale a host of daunting hurdles including a number of more formidable but less obvious foes from within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as well as contending with the unsympathetic elements from the north, all spoiling for a fight to upset the apple cart.
Primate Babatunde Elijah Ayodele, spiritual head of Inri Evangelical Spiritual Church in his 2026 prophecy, warned the president about what he termed a political nemesis. The popular seer, while highlighting the growing threats against Tinubu’s reelection, revealed that some of the northern elders would work against Tinubu. He also added that most of the elder statesmen the president trusts will betray him.
“The spirit of God says in the year 2026, the President must be watchful for what is tagged political nemesis in the country. He needs fervent prayers in this regard. Some of the former Tinubu aides will work for the opposition.
The North will be divided because of Tinubu. Some Core-North will deceive Tinubu.
“Tinubu is also desperate spiritually, economically and technically in everything in order to get the second term.
“The more Tinubu is pacifying the Northerners, the more some people will be destroying his efforts among the Alpha and Omega aides.
“Tinubu should act fast if he wants to win by the end of January. The Northerners will conclude the decision to either vote APC or ADC.

“I foresee hate and hardship protest against the Tinubu government and I foresee the protest of his nemesis.”
Aside from having to contend with political enemies within and without, Primate Ayodele also alerted the president to a host of other challenges ahead of him in the build up to the 2027 Presidential election. Notably among these, according to the Christian cleric, are threats of coup and insecurity
“The spirit of God says the Tinubu government must be very careful because of another military coup attempt which can shake the government and cause what they don’t expect. There will be redeployments because an all-powerful country is planning a coup against the government of Nigeria. They are desperate. The President should look into this matter seriously so as to nip it in the bud. The spirit of God says the officers and men in the Military are not happy. Thus, the President should invite the serving Generals and retired Generals from the geo-political zones of the country to fashion out security plans for the country. The spirit of God says military putsch is not yet over in Nigeria.
“Apart from the Military, I foresee there will be quite a lot of political and civilian coups against the President. People singing “On the mandate we shall stand”. I foresee Some African nations will experience coup plots. Some will be successful and some will fail,” he revealed.
On the new tax reform billed to come into effect in January, Primate Ayodele said, “The Lord revealed to me that the tax reforms of the Tinubu government will reshape the economy but people will find it difficult to cope with it because it is ill timed. The tax reforms will affect so many homes negatively and will be roundly condemned by those who will not understand what the reform is all about. The spirit of God says the government will do a lot of things in order to bring the new reforms in our tax laws into existence. Government will do everything to ensure the Tax Reform is sustained. The Tax Reforms will introduce new measures in tax administration but Nigerians will not understand it at all.”
On insecurity the Lagos-based cleric said the United State will not change its view about insecurity in Nigeria in spite of efforts by the Nigerian government to restore security in the country. “I foresee that the government will subdue kidnappers as there will be open confrontation with them. They will engage the military formations in open confrontation but the government can overpower them if the government is ready. Let us be watchful so that the soldiers fighting the terrorists will not go on strike or protest because of the nonpayment of remunerations.
“I foresee so many heads will roll on this issue (of negotiation with kidnappers) but the Nigerian government will not be able to do much about those involved in negotiation of kidnappers. These people are everywhere in Nigeria. Their primary aim is to destroy the government of Tinubu. There will be a new method of collecting money by the bandits to avert detection.
“I foresee the operations of the herdsmen will take a new dimension and the reactions of the citizens will change about them. They will face them squarely. Herdsmen will cause a lot of havoc and damages in Nigeria.
“The spirit of God says security lapses will torment farmers and agricultural yields not only in Nigeria but other countries. If care is not taken, the prices of foodstuffs will go up due to poor yields,” “The USA will still insist on insecurity in Nigeria,” he declared.
