The flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the forthcoming governorship election in Osun State, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), on Sunday, urged citizens of the state to be wary of selling their voting power and votes to desperate politicians at next month’s elections.
Oyebamiji, speaking at a special meeting and prayer held in his honour by the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, said such acts of compromises are harmulful to the collective good and progress of the State.
Oyebamiji, who appealed to electorates to exercise their civic duties and stand by their choice, said: “my ambition is clear and I am prepared to take the bull by the horns in transforming our common heritage, our dear state.
“We will run an all-inclusive, participatory and masses-oriented government. We will prioritize all sectors of the economy.
“I can assure everyone here that we will prioritize most sincerely security and welfare of the people particularly the welfare and general well-being of all especially the civil servants.
“We will run a transparent and accountable government. Our education, health, infrastructure, agriculture, commerce and industry, power and energy as well as justice system will experience drastic change when I am elected the governor.
“I appreciate our people for the show of love and support. This means a lot to us. I will continue to seek your collective and individual support. Please, let’s remain constant in our prayers for a peaceful poll.
“Please, let’s begin spreading the gospel of AMBO to every nook and cranny of the state. Our PVC is our power. Don’t Sell it. Use it to vote APC, use it to vote Oyebamiji. Insha-Allah, I will not disappoint you”, Oyebamiji reassured.

Oyebamiji also tasked the religious leaders on constant prayers for peaceful electoral process in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state.
Speaking on behalf of the leadership of the Osun State Chapter of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, the State Secretary, Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, Alhaji Akande Ola Hafiz, described Oyebamiji as an achiever of high integrity, diligence, and foresight in previous leadership undertakings.
The ADS Secretary clarified that while the society is not known for partisanship, it was necessary to laud Oyebamiji’s track record and developmental desires for Osun.
According to him: “There’s no doubting the fact that Asiwaju Oyebamiji is known to us as a complete gentleman, a peace-loving man and a leader of profound humility, discipline, and selfless service.
“His stellar public and private records, as the former MD/CEO Osun State Investment Company Limited, OSICOL; Osun State Commissioner for Finance and MD/CEO National Inland Waterways Authority, NIWA, prove that he is an achiever of high integrity, diligence, and foresight.
“He is a philanthropist par excellence, a listening leader, a devoted family man, and above all, a practising Muslim who operates with the deep fear of Allah.
“As one united family, we will support him with our sincere prayers for divine wisdom, protection and success and we pray the Almighty Allah grant him the wisdom to lead, the strength to serve and absolute sincerity in all that he does”, he said.
