Borno State Government has scheduled a town hall meeting with its citizens and other stakeholders to discuss the 2025 budget.

Commissioner for Information and Internal security, Prof Usman Tar, said the public engagement on the 2025 Appropriation and Finance Bill scheduled for tomorrow, October 16 in Maiduguri, the state capital was to ensure transparency in governance.

“Borno State Ministry of Budget and Planning is hosting a town hall meeting on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. This event is a significant step towards fostering transparency in the budgeting process,” Tar disclosed.

He said the town hall was also to allow concerned citizens and stakeholders to share their inputs on the state’s 2025 budget.

“The meeting aims to ensure direct engagement between the government and the people, aligning the budget with the needs and aspirations of Borno State residents,” he explained.

He urged all stakeholders to attend the public engagement to ensure that their inputs were covered in the state’s financial appropriation next year.
