Twelve people have been confirmed dead in a road accident that occurred at Gbongan, Ayedaade Local Government, Osun State.
It was gathered that the accident occurred along Gbongan-Ife expressway on the Sasa Bridge on Friday.
Findings showed that eight persons were also injured in the accident that involved two buses and a truck.
The spokesperson of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in the state, Kehinde Adeleke, confirmed the accident.
She said 12 persons died while eight injured in the accident.
Adeleke said the injured people had been taken to a hospital in Ile-Ife.
