Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has pledged to complete all capital projects he started in the state before the expiration of his tenure on May 29, 2027.

He disclosed that he had given the contractors handling the N16 billion post office flyover project, 4,000-sitting capacity international conference centre and the 2.5 kilometres cattle market dual-carriage road in Maiduguri deadline for completion soon.

“My mission is to see how we can complete all projects before the expiration of our tenure. This is why we are taking assessment of the major projects,” the governor told journalists at the cattle market road project’s site.

He disclosed that the deadline for the completion of the international conference centre project with the lodging, has been fixed for September. The flyover project which has reached 90 percent work progress, is expected to be completed in 40 days, while the cattle market road project’s completion is also fixed for July.

Zulum also announced plans to pay compensation to those affected by the pulling down of some structures, especially for the construction of the flyover. He equally said he observed the people were happy about the projects due to the positive impact they would have on the economy and intra-city movement.
