Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum has received an award from the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency (NPHCDA) for outstanding service delivery in primary healthcare services in the state.

NPHCDA Coordinator Dr Faisal Shu’sub, while presenting the award in Maiduguri late Sunday, said it was a recognition for exceptional commitment to improve the delivery of healthcare service.

“This award of excellence is in recognition of your exceptional commitment to improving primary healthcare services in Borno State. We are very confident that Borno will be a template in terms of the transformation of the Primary Healthcare,” Faisal said.

He commended Zulum’s dedication in advancing immunizations and other essential primary healthcare services across.

He also presented to the governor a compendium that comprises pictures showcasing Borno State’s efforts in eradicating polio in Nigeria.

Zulum in his response, expressed gratitude to the NPHDA for the recognition.

He said the award is a call to step up the work and commitment to providing quality primary healthcare service to the people of the state.
