Zone 2 Police Command, Onikan, Lagos, has arrested a fake medical practitioner with a suspected forged certificate. Also arrested were 14 suspected armed robbers and kidnappers along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Its Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Umma Ayuba, said: “Operatives of the Anti-Piracy Unit (APU), arrested the fake medical practitioner who claimed to be managing director of a medical centre in Ikorodu.
“Police conducted a search and recovered two suspected forged certificates of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), IIe-Ife, Osun State, and Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN). The suspect operated the hospital without being a qualified medical practitioner. The suspect confessed he had six workers, two of whom were trained nurses while four were amateurs.
“The police operatives arrested suspected armed robbers terrorising Ibafo, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. The Anti-Kidnapping Squad (AKS) has declared war against kidnappers on the Ibadan-Lagos Expressway by constantly raiding their hideouts.”
