In preparation for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr celebration, the Zamfara State Police Command, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Danladi Muhammad, has conducted a coordinated confidence-building patrol and show of force across Gusau metropolis. The operation involved tactical teams, divisional officers, and sister security agencies to ensure a secure environment for residents.
DCP Muhammad has directed all Area Commanders to replicate this exercise within their jurisdictions to reinforce public safety and deter criminal activities before, during, and after the festivities. The operation underscores the Command’s commitment to protecting lives and property while fostering trust between security forces and the community.
Emphasising professionalism, the DCP urged officers to adhere to the policing vision of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, and to uphold human rights standards throughout the operation. Any unprofessional conduct will not be tolerated.
The Command reassures residents, particularly the Muslim faithful, of a peaceful and hitch-free Sallah celebration.
