In the spirit of the festive period, the Zamfara State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has approved the deployment of five hundred and fifty-five (555) personnel to safeguard citizens and their property during the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
In a statement issued by SC Umar Mohammed, NSCDC Zamfara State Public Relations Officer, to journalists in Gusau today, it was confirmed that Commandant Sani Mustapha approved the deployment to various worship centres across the fourteen (14) local government areas of the state to ensure peaceful celebrations. The security measures are intensified to ensure successful Yuletide festivities.

Furthermore, he affirmed consistent and relentless display of professionalism from the NSCDC personnel through the Christmas and New Year season to maintain peace, order and fruitful celebrations efficiently in the state.
The State Commandant averred that the NSCDC, under the excellent leadership of the Commandant General, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, OFR, mni, is committed to safeguarding the populace and protecting the nation’s critical assets and infrastructure.
