The Zamfara State Government has strongly condemned the recent inhuman killings of innocent citizens held under captive by a notorious terrorist gang operating in some parts of the state.
This was contained in a statement by Honourable Mahmud Muhammad Dantawasa, Commissioner for Information & Culture Zamfara State Government to journalists in Gusau, the state capital.
In the statement it read, on behalf of His Excellency, Governor Dauda Lawal, we extend our deepest condolences to the families and communities affected by this tragedy. Your pain is our pain, and we assure you that justice will prevail.
Governor Lawal describes this attack as cowardly, desperate, and a sign that the terrorists are losing ground. The Government will not rest until every criminal involved in these atrocities is captured or neutralized.
To the terrorists: Your time is up. Zamfara will no longer be your hiding place. The full weight of law and force will crush every network of violence across our state.
The State Government under Governor Lawal has launched unprecedented security measures: Recent successes include the elimination of top terrorists commanders and their fighters in sustained clearance operations. This is a proof that the era of impunity is over.

Hundreds of operational vehicles have been provided to security agencies, including the Community Protection Guards (CPG), to improve rapid response and intelligence-driven action.
Intensified security patrols are ongoing in vulnerable areas, with a new strategy focused on offensive operations to dismantle bandit hideouts permanently.
Currently, the Administration of Governor Dauda Lawal is pursuing the killers with combined security forces flagging the banner with an inscription, “Zero Tolerance for Terrorists” meaning that, there is no escape for them.

The Government urges everyone never to give in to fear, explaining that, these attacks are acts of desperation by criminals who know their end is near. Governor Dauda Lawal assures every citizen: “We will not surrender an inch of Zamfara to criminals. They will either repent or be eliminated. This is our pledge, and we will keep it.”
