The Zamfara State Police Command has confirmed a brutal bandit attack in Banga village, Kaura Namoda Local Government Area. The raid left two people dead and many others kidnapped.
Police spokesperson DSP Yazid Abubakar said they are still investigating to find out how many were taken. He added that efforts are underway to save the victims.

Eyewitnesses told our correspondent the attackers hit around midnight. They fired shots everywhere, scaring residents.
The bandits killed an elderly man and an 18-year-old girl. A joint security team, backed by the Nigerian Air Force, fought back. They killed several bandits, while others ran off injured.
This time, the attackers couldn’t steal any cattle, unlike their usual raids.
