Yuletide: Ohanaeze optimistic Ndigbo will overcome challenges

Ohanaeze Ndigbo has expressed its confidence that the South East will overcome its present challenges in the new year.

President General of the Igbo apex group, Azuta Mbata who assured the people of the South East in his New year message he issued through the group’s spokesperson, Ezechi Chukwu also extended warm New Year greetings to Igbo people globally, lauding their resilience and entrepreneurial spirit amid challenges.

he expressed gratitude for Ndigbo’s support and trust in his leadership, highlighting their strength and hopefulness despite national adversities. “We remain strong, enterprising and hopeful ,we pray unity and perseverance to overcome present hurdles”. Mbata said.

He reaffirmed his commitment to promoting love, unity, and solidarity among Ndigbo, emphasizing equity and equality for all citizens. He called for focus, law-abiding conduct, and constructive engagement, stressing that collective progress hinges on inclusivity and responsible citizenship.

“There is no gainsaying that despite the challenges confronting our nation in general, we still remain strong, enterprising and hopeful people.

“I urge you to remain encouraged, for by the grace of God, the future of Igbo nation remains bright. Together, we shall overcome present challenges through unity, perseverance and faith in God.

“My leadership, as one founded on the tenets of community service remains firmly committed to promoting love, unity and solidarity among Ndigbo. The National Executive Committee (NEC) under my watch is working tirelessly for a just and fair society where equity and equality are guaranteed for all citizens, irrespective of ethnicity, religion, or social status.

“As we move forward my brothers and sisters, I call on Ndigbo to remain focused, law-abiding, peaceful and constructive in our engagements, knowing that our collective progress lies in inclusivity, unity and responsible citizenship.

“May this New Year bring peace, good health and renewed hope to every Igbo family”. Mbata prayed.
