From Uchenna Inya, Abakaliki
The Commissioner for Works in Ebonyi State, Stanley Lebechi Mbam, yesterday, distributed vehicles and motorcycles to many members of his community.
The commissioner also disbursed cash and distributed bags of rice to them.
The event took place in his Abakaliki residence.
He said the gesture was for them to feel the impact of being in government as their representative.
“I will not be in the government representing you people and there will not be evidence of the representation”, he told the mammoth crowd at the event.
The commissioner said his foundation has trained and empowered many people across the state on different skills and expressed happiness that they are making him and their various places proud.
“My MSL foundation is an inspiration from God, and that is why we continue to empower humanity; as we construct roads, we also construct humanity. The MSL foundation has been able to construct humanity across Ebonyi State.
“We have been able to train and empower many people on various skills, and they are all doing well. We have people we take care of their hospital bills, and we do that every month”.
He noted that he empowered people to complement the efforts of Governor Francis Nwifuru, who, he said, has done much in his administration. He disclosed that the present administration has constructed many projects across the state.
“We have been able to touch the hinterlands of our communities and the result is there; we have been able to rebuild the urban area, and this is the first time a gigantic tunnel is being constructed under the leadership of our dear governor. That project is a signature project and, if you go there, you will see things for yourself.
“When the project is completed, you will be able to attest that Ebonyi has come of age. This is a project you can see in London and other foreign countries, and we are using our local engineers to construct it.
“We have constructed so many rural roads. In Abakaliki local government, precisely, we have been able to construct four roads. I will continue to complement the efforts of our dear governor”, Mbam stated.
