Sty2

By Islamiyat Kareem

This collection showcases colour, texture and  fabrics through a range of event ready looks.

There is a  crisp white, tailored blazer that depicts a smart casual outfit. It has a darted waist highlighted with a brown leather belt that adds definition and a pop of colour. The beautiful piece is completed with a white lace skirt whose delicate pattern creates a type of contrast that turns the blazer from formal to modern casual. The embroidered pieces and  buttons make it simple but also stylish.

The dramatic sleeve detail

For a party look, there is an outfit that  mixes colours and textures in a captivating way.  The black off-shoulder top has a lace that is delicately pleated from the chest downward, creating a detailed finish. It is paired with a bright pink skirt that drapes neatly at the front with gatherings forming a little side slit decorated with butterfly accents.

The peacock garden dress

Another transition is a boss lady look is crafted from elegant damask fabric. The subtle splash of colour makes the fabric busy but modest. The style at first looks like the regular Nigerian Bubu styles but also gives off a Kimono vibe which is the outfit’s unique twist. The minimalist design, elegant fabric and jewellery make it a strong choice for any occasion.

The pleated party dress

Also, there is a patterned two-piece set. The off-shoulder top hangs loosely and paired with a wide leg trousers that gracefully fall to the ground. The fabric has a patterned base with large pink floral patterns that gives the outfit a confident and casual vibe. The pink bag blends the colour while the shades add a sharp, chilling look.

For a casual day, there is a blue patterned jumpsuit. The delicate gathers on the sleeves create a puff that sits just below the elbow. The fabric appears lightweight which makes the sleeves flow effortlessly. The trousers cover the leg making it more elegant.

Finally, there me is a dress that embodies a soft, floral pattern that makes it a grand celebration outfit . The blue and olive green gown flows around her feet. The floral design seems to be woven from or inspired by the shimmering look of natural peacock feathers. The lower part of the dress blends two colours by using a sky blue fabric over an olive coloured fabric creating a smooth transition of colour, elegance and style.

Through this narrative, the designer has proven that true style is continuous and evolves into  stories.
