Yuletide: Alia’s PSA celebrates giant strides, rallies support from community

From Scholastica Hir, Makurdi

The Principal Special Assistant (PSA) to Governor Hyacinth Alia on Legal Matters, Barr. Seember Wayo, has paid a Christmas visit to her constituents in Mbayongo, Vandeikya Local Government Area (LGA) of Benue State.

During the visit, Wayo praised Governor Alia’s developmental strides in reforming the state two years after assuming office as the Executive Governor of the state.

The PSA, who appreciated the governor for his good works, said his administration has achieved a lot of developmental strides in all sectors of the state’s economy that are too obvious to ignore.

She acknowledged the governor’s achievements, including massive road infrastructure, construction and rehabilitation of schools—both primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions—revival of the health sector, youth and women empowerment programmes, improvement in the agricultural sector, industry, trade, and investment, among others.

She appealed to her community to turn out for the ongoing voter registration process, which according to her was the sure way to return the governor to power and continue to benefit from his administration.

Wayo assured them of the governor’s promise towards the construction of roads within Mbayongo council ward in a short while.

In their various remarks, the APC chairman in the LGA, David Tyogbea, the gubernatorial liaison officer, Joseph Yawe, and the councillor representing Mbayongo ward, Tebe Richard, appreciated Governor Alia for finding their daughter and other Yongo-Tiev sons worthy of appointments.

They called on all well-meaning Kunav indigenes and, by extension, Benue people to support the governor to continue the good work he is doing for the state, highlighting road construction, improvement in healthcare, education, agriculture, and many others.

Other speakers at the event, including acting Tyoor, Zaki Joseph Shirsha, chairlady of Yongo-Tiev Development Association (women wing), Mrs. Mayange, Yongo-Tiev youth president, Comr. Uganden Iorkohol, and chairlady of widows association, Mrs. Roseline Ate, all commended the governor and Barrister Seember Wayo, urging them to keep up the good work.

The PSA handed to her constituents items such as bags of rice, wrappers, cartons of Maggi, bags of salt, and cash donations.

Wayo was accompanied by the Principal Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, Publicity and Strategic Communication, Hon. Bridget Tikyaa, SA on Digital Media/Communication, Hon. Igbetar Jerry Signor, former Mbayongo councillorship aspirant, Hon. Laha David, among others.
