…Lists Oransonye reports, Modular Refineries as Key Priorities

In preparation for the inauguration of the 2027 Young Progressives Party (YPP) presidential campaign council, Arc. Dr. Peter Agada, the party’s presidential candidate, has outlined a 10-point agenda as his administration’s manifesto if elected President of Nigeria.
Dr. Agada, who spoke exclusively in Abuja on Friday, highlighted that implementation of the Oransonye Report and establishment of modular refineries are key to his agenda, as well as the implementation of EPC system reforms and other lean governance policies.
Consequently, Agada further shared the following as the components of his LabourDirect governance system and presidential manifesto.
These, however, include the implementation of ward-based grassroots development through direct Federal Government monthly allocation of N40million to every one of Nigeria’s 8,809 wards from the first day in office and throughout his administration.
Also, he assured through (SUN Programme) unprecedented security architecture to end terrorism and other insecurity problems in Nigeria.
On implementation of Lean Governance, he added that the Oransonye report speaks volumes on reducing and harmonizing duplication of government agencies, in line with its most beneficial recommendations. This, he noted, will go without loss of jobs and save trillions of naira in annual federal waste through a modern GPS governance system, and critical reforms in Nigeria’s current Engineering Procurement Contract (EPC) practice.
On the stability of power, he said, “I will Diversify and decentralize power generation, distribution and supply nationwide. Vision target: achieve 1MW power generation and supply per every ward of Nigeria”.
He, however, promised mass Empowerment of Youths, Women and Able-bodied Elderlies in labour-intensive development programmes, noting that qualified pensioners and active professional senior citizens who live in the wards shall be engaged as consultants while women and youths shall be the programme’s drivers.
Meanwhile, Dr Agada has pledged optimal Development of Nigeria’s Maritime Economy to advance Nigeria’s blue economy through completion of stalled river port projects across the country, fast-track development of deep-sea ports in various geopolitical zones of Nigeria’s sea coast, and link them with standard rail lines. These include construction of trunk and feeder road networks leading to and from local markets, grain silos and depots, connecting wards to state depots and inter-state routes to river ports, dry ports, seaports, raw material sources, processing industries and commerce destinations.
Furthermore, he assured massive agriculture and processing Tech Park clusters, which will add value by promoting and providing incentives for local and mechanized farming, through Labour-Direct-based processing cluster factories in wards with agricultural financing support instruments.
However, he promised to revolutionize education through technology-driven modernization reforms and equipping the sector. Also, abolition of student loans, a progressive ascent from minimum tuition to free education up to the second year in tertiary institutions, integration of vocational and skills acquisition training with formal education curricula to fit evolving millennial needs and realities.
He vowed to strengthen and expand Nigeria’s Foreign relations with development partners. These, he said, shall include correcting strained relations in recent years with Nigeria’s West African sister nations and championing the cause of actualizing from paper to concrete reality the flagship goal of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTZ), which seeks to create a dynamic single market for producers of goods and services in Africa.
Agada also explained that project choices of maximum development impact on the ward, government’s funding disbursements and oversight shall be undertaken in conjunction with a ward development committee set up in each ward and technology-driven oversight of the LabourDirect GPS governance system.
further promised that the monthly Labour-Direct fund for wards shall be disbursed every month from his first day in office and shall be implemented uninterrupted throughout the duration of his administration.
Agada further explained: “I have been writing behind the scenes salient, practical development solutions and policy blueprints for various federal governments of Nigeria for more than 20 years. These leaders of yesterday and Nigerians of today in all walks of life, at home and abroad, unanimously agree that my LabourDirect governance manifesto is outstanding, practical, realisable and far ahead of all other candidates vying for the Presidency of Nigeria in the 2027 elections. I urge Nigerians everywhere under the sun to objectively examine my manifesto and roadmap for Nigeria’s development, and they will agree also.
“Given this, I humbly call on voters in every part of our dear country to vote for me as President in 2027, and together we will take Nigeria to a place of pride in development glory never imagined possible within the shortest pace of time.”
