The President of Young Men Christian Association (YMCA) Archbishop Winning Memorial Cathedral, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos, Dr Olorunfemi Ojo has awarded scholarship to some indigent youths in the church and its environs.
He stated this during the 57th anniversary/thanksgiving of the association

According to him “we have given over 15 individuals and we hope to reach out to more youths. Scholarship will be given to those in higher institutions, especially federal schools.
“We don’t give to students in private schools because we believe their parents are capable and can afford to pay their fees”.
He further stated that in giving out these scholarships, “we have a prerequisite. We only give scholarship to those who are qualified.”
“We announced it in church, and our members informed their neighbours. We also set up committee who oversee these activities and are in charge of screening, before we give to deserving students,” he said.
