The Head of the Service of the Federation (HoCSF), Folasade Yemi-Esan, will retire from her position on August 14, 2024, after five years of service.
This was disclosed by the Director of Communications in her office, Mohammed Ahmed, while briefing newsmen to commemorate the 2024 Civil Service Week Celebrations.
The theme for this year’s civil service week is “Educate an African Fit for the 21st Century: Building Resilient Education Systems for Increased Access to Inclusive, Lifelong, Quality and Relevant Learning in Africa.”
The event is expected to highlight the importance of education in shaping the future of Africa.
Yemi-Esan, who turns 60 on August 13, 1964, will be leaving her post as the HoCSF. She was appointed Acting HoCSF by former President Muhammadu Buhari on September 18, 2019, following the removal of the former HOCSF, Winifred Oyo-Ita on corruption allegations.
She was later inaugurated on March 4, 2020, after serving as the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum Resources.
