Chris Maurice, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Yellow Card, has been named among the Stablecoins Most Influential 2026, an annual list recognising individuals driving innovation and adoption in the global stablecoin ecosystem.
The recognition was announced by Stablecon, a leading global event and media platform dedicated to the stablecoin industry. The annual list honours influential figures across six regions and multiple categories, including issuers, builders and policymakers, using a five-factor assessment that measures influence, impact, innovation, momentum and peer recognition.
Maurice joins an elite group of global financial technology leaders on the 2026 list, including Coinbase President and Chief Operating Officer Emilie Choi, Stripe Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Patrick Collison, Paxos Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder Charles Cascarilla, and BlackRock Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Larry Fink.
Over the years, Maurice has emerged as one of the leading advocates for stablecoin adoption globally. He has delivered keynote addresses at international conferences attended by heads of state, advised governments and financial regulators, and was recognised on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2023. His work has also been featured by international media organisations, including CNBC, BBC, Bloomberg, Forbes and Business Insider.

Reacting to the recognition, Maurice said the honour reflects the company’s long-term belief in the transformative potential of stablecoins.
“Many years ago, we took a bet on stablecoins when few people could see what the future of finance would look like. Today, being celebrated among the leaders of this industry tells me that bet is paying off. Conviction is the only currency that matters before the world catches up to you,” he said.
Under Maurice’s leadership, Yellow Card said it has facilitated more than $7.5 billion in transactions over the past 12 months while expanding its operations across Africa, Latin America, Southeast Asia and North America.
The company has also secured funding from leading investors, including Polychain Capital, Blockchain Capital and Coinbase Ventures, while establishing strategic partnerships with global payment companies such as Visa, Mastercard and PayPal.
Yellow Card has continued to receive international recognition, winning the Grand Prix in the Payments category at the Money20/20 USA Awards in 2025 and earning a place on the inaugural Fortune Crypto Innovators list in 2026.
The company said Maurice remains focused on expanding Yellow Card’s stablecoin infrastructure to help connect businesses and improve cross-border financial transactions across global markets.
