Yellow Card has secured another major international recognition for its contribution to financial technology innovation, winning Gold in the Diamond category at the 2026 Money Awards.

The recognition, presented on Sunday, October 18, in Las Vegas, United States, during Money20/20 USA, marks the company’s second consecutive recognition at the global fintech awards.

According to the company, the Diamond category represents the highest honour in the Money Awards, recognising transformative achievements in the global financial technology industry.

The latest recognition follows Yellow Card’s Grand Prix victory in the Payments category at the 2025 edition of the awards.

The company said the achievement came amid a period of international expansion, supported by new funding, regulatory developments and the rollout of services aimed at simplifying cross-border payments for businesses.

Commenting on the recognition, Chris Maurice, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Yellow Card, said the achievement reflected the company’s evolution from an emerging-markets-focused business into a global financial infrastructure provider.

“When we started the business almost ten years ago, we had big ambitions, but we couldn’t have imagined just how far this journey would take us,” Maurice said.

He added that the company had expanded beyond emerging markets and was increasingly working with major corporate and financial institutions around the world.

The latest recognition comes after Yellow Card was named on Fortune’s inaugural Crypto Innovators list in June 2026 and subsequently secured $40 million in strategic funding.

The company has also expanded its presence across Latin America, Asia-Pacific and North America, while securing anti-money laundering (AML) regulatory affiliation in Switzerland.

Another major development was the launch of its Global Accounts service, which enables businesses to open named accounts in US dollars, British pounds and euros and connect to local payment rails in more than 190 countries through a single application programming interface (API) or its Treasury Portal.

Justin Poiroux, Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder of Yellow Card, said the recognition highlighted the technology and teamwork behind the company’s efforts to simplify international money transfers.

He said the company had spent years developing technology to address the complexities of cross-border payments, describing the recognition as a source of pride for its team.

Yellow Card provides infrastructure that enables banks, fintech companies and multinational businesses to access US dollars, manage treasury operations and transfer money across borders.

The company supports more than 50 currencies and said its customers include Visa and Western Union.

The recognition underscores the growing role of stablecoin infrastructure in international financial services, particularly as businesses seek more efficient ways to manage foreign-currency access, treasury operations and cross-border transactions.

For businesses operating in markets such as Nigeria, where access to foreign currencies and efficient international payment channels remains important for trade, digital financial infrastructure providers are developing solutions to simplify how companies move and manage money across borders.

Yellow Card said it would continue expanding its international presence and developing infrastructure to connect businesses and financial institutions across markets.
