The Emir of Yauri, Dr. Zayyanu Abdullahi, says the Yauri Emirate remains deeply indebted to the Kebbi State governor, Nasir Idris, for his transformative achievements in security, education, and infrastructure.
The Emir spoke during a courtesy visit to his palace by the state media team, led by the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed.
Emir Abdullahi commended Governor Idris on transformative leadership. He recalled how he personally ventured into high-risk areas to assess security challenges.
He noted that the governor’s swift interventions led to the strategic deployment of security personnel that restored peace and allowing farmers to safely return to their fields.

On education, the royal father commended the administration’s construction and renovation of schools, alongside its scholarship schemes, specifically highlighting sponsorship for schoolgirls rescued from abductors.
He also applauded the overhaul of the General Hospital, Yauri, as well as agricultural and economic interventions, including the provision of farming equipment, the establishment of a modern fish market, and measures to regulate local mining. The Emir expressed gratitude for the governor’s support of traditional institutions, which included providing official vehicles, utility upgrades, and allocating ₦100million for palace renovations.
“The governor has stood firmly by Yauri, and we will stand by him,” he said.
Earlier, Information Commissioner Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed, who explained that the visit was aimed at paying homage, expressed gratitude for the traditional council’s support, and seek the Emir’s continued prayers and wise counsel for the administration.
