WTT train set to hit Lagos

The train of the World Table Tennis Championship is set to hit Lagos as the competition reaches the top gear, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Durban in South Africa was the first nation to stage the WTT Championship in 2023 according to the calendar released by the organising body.

The train moved to Goa in India in February, Bangkok in March and Thai City in Thailand hosted the event in April.

The event is set to commence in Lagos in June and the prize money for the event in Nigeria is $75,000 and it will involve 32 men and women singles.

The championship is slated to be held from June 8 to 12 at Molade Okoya Thomas Hall of Teslim Balogun Stadium.
