Former England striker, Michael Owen said Spain are “a lot better” than Argentina and deserve to win the 2026 World Cup on Sunday.
Spain beat tournament favourites France 2-0 on Tuesday to book their place in the final while Argentina advanced after coming from behind to defeat England 2-1 a day later.
Owen, the 2001 Ballon d’Or winner, told Sky Sports that the defending champions were “lucky” to reach the final.
He was full of praises for Luis de la Fuente’s side, who have remained unbeaten in 37 matches and are the reigning Euro champions.
The 46-year-old said, “Argentina have had quite a lucky path through to the semi-finals.
